在奧萬大的日子(Life in Aowanda)

通過這次的交流，我們有幸地到訪了“休園”中的奧萬大森林遊樂區。遊樂區裡沒有遊客們的踪影，這是一個完全屬於我們的世界了。耶！^^Y

We have the honor to visit the temporarily “closed” Aowanda Forest Recreation Area.There was no trace of the visitors, this area completely belongs to us.Yeah!^^

一抵達遊樂區，我們馬不停蹄地被帶去調整池，由佑穎帶隊解說。調整池匯集了各溪流的水源，以前是薹灣電力公司(薹電)用以發電的，現已停止使用，開放給遊客參觀。碧綠的水面就像湯漾在湖面上，當時若丟下一顆小石頭，泛起的漣漪應該會很寫意。

We were directly taken to the adjustment pond, led by Eric’s explanation. Adjustment pond brings together the various streams of water was used to generate electricity ages ago had been discontinued. Green water ripples like soup on the lake, I was thinking if that time I throw a small stone into the pond, the ripples will be very impressionistic.

再往調整池的方向走約10分鐘，經過短短的步道，即可抵達雙瀑觀賞平台。從此處望去，可看到單一直流的飛瀑，就像武打小說裡修行人打坐練功的地方，好不壯觀！另外還有較小的兩層分流瀑布，稱為雙瀑。在這裡聆聽著大自然的交響曲，吸一吸瀑布所釋放的負離子芬多晶，真是人生一大享受。=)

    Into the direction of adjustment pond about 10 minutes, after a short trails we reached double waterfall viewing platform. Looking from here, you can see a single flow of water making it very impressive. It was like a place to practice meditation in the martial arts novel. In addition, there is a smaller two-tier streaming waterfalls, known as Twin Falls. Listening to the symphony of nature and breath in the anion-fen polycrystalline released by the wonderful waterfall was a great pleasure in one’s life.

下午，大家豎起“蛙裝”，準備到生態池清理外來種“天湖荽”。外來種的繁殖能力很強，將會威脅到生態池保育類的植物“台灣萍蓬草”。我們盡全力，大喊123口號，把一整片的天湖荽清除掉，再搬到陸地上。Simon 似乎最享受整個過程，兩小時裡最賣力在清除外來種，沒有半點累意。

We put up the "frog costumes" and went to the ecological pond, ready to clean up the alien species Lawn Pennywort. This alien species ability to reproduce is very strong, will be a threat to the ecological pond protected plants Taiwan Yellow Water Lily". We made every effort, shouting 123 slogan, removed the Lawn Pennywort, and then moved the whole bunches to the land. Simon seems to most enjoy the whole process, the spent two hours clearing the exotic species, not tired at all.

晚上有個小插曲，無意中參與了奧萬大自然教育中心四歲生日派對。我們國際志工分別唱了各國的生日快樂歌曲，有越南曲、俄羅斯、馬來西亞。而Simon則唱了中文版的，逗樂了大夥兒。

      At night, there was a small episode, inadvertently involved in the Aowanda Nature Education Centre 4years old Birthday party. Our international volunteers sang the birthday song like in Vietnam version, Russia song and Malaysia birthday song. Simon sang the Chinese version and amused everybody.

隔天，我們去了奧萬大吊橋。真的很壯觀！據說，吊橋剛啟用開放時，可要排隊走吊橋哦！

The next day, we went to the Aowanda hanging bridge.A very magnificent bridge!As what I heard, when the bridge was first opened to tourists, they need to queue up to go up the bridge.

     登往吊橋途中，到處都是九芎樹（猴不爬樹），是不是很有趣的名字呀！？這九芎樹幹表面光滑，光溜溜的。大家忙著挑一個不是那麼粗大的樹幹，然後用手指摳一摳，像騷它養似的，然後抬頭往上往就會發現它輕輕地搖曳，別具奇特。

On the way to the bridge, we came across crape myrtle trees where its trunks are bare. We tried to make it feel itchy by keep on itching its tree trunks. And soon, we can notice the tress swaying gently.



兩天一夜的參訪就結束了。謝謝奧萬大的志工們安排了那麼棒的活動，讓我們度過了充實的兩天。也謝謝你們貼心的小禮物：奧萬大教育中心明信片、奧萬大T-shirt、抽獎劵、文件夾。

        Its time to go back. A million thanks to Aowanda guys for arranging so many nice activities for these wonderful two days. And another thank you for your presents like postcards, T-shirt, voucher and file.   

     下了山後，我們去了18度C巧克力工房。人潮真的太多了。我們去品嚐了它的免費咖啡及茶後就出發到最後一站---埔里酒廠--以紹興酒為吸引點。 

            Lastly, we went to chocolate shop and taste its free coffee and tea.The last stop was Puli Brewery—a place where its “shao xing wine” is the attraction..
