不容錯過的英仙座流星雨(Unmissable Perseids meteor shower)

 今天晚上在一個偶然的機會下去上了一個有關流星的課。主講人是吳建德老師，他是台中市天文學會的理事長，可是一位天文學達人。=)

Tonight I attended an astronomist teacher's class about meteor.The teacher is the chairman of astronomer club.

而老師告知我們一個觀看流星雨的好機會！！

He told us a great chance to watch Perseids meteor.An opportunity that you can never miss it.

明晚8月12日  8.30pm-02.00am

Tomorrow 12th August from 8.30pm-02.00am

預計每小時100顆的數量

Estimated 100 meteors/hour

不妨選個沒有光害的地方(49k的大雪山是個好去處)或海邊，不需要任何觀測器材，找個舒服的地方坐下來或躺在遼闊的草地上，用心欣賞吧～～

Lets choose a suitable place like Dasyueshan Mountain or by the seaside to watch the meteors shower.You don’t have to prepare any special equipment.Just bring your heart and feel it.

它與象限儀座流星雨、雙子座流星雨並成為三大年度流星雨！

而且是全年三大周期性流星雨之首！

Perseids meteor shower,Quadrantids meteor shower, the Gemini meteor shower are known as the three annual meteor shower.

 

英仙座流星雨不但流星數量眾多、易於觀察，且周期非常穩定，約在每年七月底開始出現，而後越來越密集。乃至在每年8/12、8/13這幾天達到高峰。在高鋒期，平均一小時可以出現30-60個流星，非常壯觀！

Perseids meteor shower is in a large amount and easily observable.

It normally comes out at the end of July every year and reach its peak on 8/12,8/13.

During the peak, the rate of meteors reaches 30-60in an hour,forming a very spectacular sight.
